American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46:40 a.m. on September 11, 2001. By the time Flight 175 struck the South Tower at 09:03 a.m., many media organizations were already covering the first plane crash in the North Tower when the second plane crashed into the South Tower. So millions were watching as the attack unfolded. The September 11 attacks caused the deaths of 2,996 people. Thousands more were injured, and long-term health effects have arisen as a consequence of the deadliest terrorist attacks in American history. The tragedy of September 11, 2001, will never be forgotten, and even after all these years, the aftermath is still unfolding.
Related to the chart above timed for the first plane’s crash into the North Tower, I find it interesting, considering the target of the attack was the “Twin Towers,” that Saturn and the Moon were in Gemini, the sign of the twins. The Gemini Moon just trined Uranus in Aquarius was void-of-course when the first plane crashed into the North Tower. Also notable, Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, was in Libra conjoined the Ascendant… and exactly trine Saturn in Gemini. Also, Mars was at 1 degree Capricorn conjoined the Capricorn North node. Saturn in Gemini was the planetary dispositor of the Capricorn South Node and Mars. Oh…. and the Sun in Virgo, also ruled by Mercury, was forming a T-Square with the Saturn in Gemini, Pluto in Sagittarius opposition.
Astrological Predictions for September 11, 2001
“Avoid terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001”. These were the exact words written on page 95 in Lynne Palmer’s “Astrological Almanac for 2001”. On another page of this same book, Lynne Palmer states: “These are the days when terrorist attacks are most likely to occur. Sept 11-13, 2001″. This book was released to bookstores in July 2000. Note: Lynn Palmer passed away March 18, 2023
Although several astrologers made some dire forecasts for this specific time period, none predicted terrorists hijacking passenger planes and crashing them into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, or the White House (the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was aimed at the White House).
What might have happened had these astrologers all made such a specific prediction? My thought is that when the Towers fell, all these astrologers would have been quickly scooped up, interrogated, and would very likely still be held in some undisclosed location.
In addition to Lynn Palmer’s amazing prediction, in the August/September 2001 issue of the Mountain Astrologer, Robert Hand picked the Saturn-Pluto opposition of 2001-2002, especially the quarter starting with the Libra equinox 2001 and/or the Aries equinox 2002, as times that are more likely to lead to a US military engagement in the Middle East.
On phenoix.com (issue date December 13-20, 2001), Chris Wright wrote an article titled: Prophets of doom, Jihad terrorists surprised America on September 11, but apparently more than one astrologer saw it coming. In this article, Wright lists various astrologers who predicted, though not as specifically as Palmer, the tragic happenings of September 11, 2001. You can also find a list on astrologyweekly.com that includes a few astrologer’s amazing predictions as well as other details, including each astrologer’s birth chart.
But did astrologers universally predict 9/11?
No! Even though in 2001 all astrologers were watchful of a major ongoing aspect in the sky (Saturn in Gemini opposing Pluto in Sagittarius) that foretold of coming crisis (both in personal lives and in the collective), only a very few publicly predicted the nature of the collective crisis.
Only one astrologer predicted the exact date of the attacks, and that was Lynne Palmer. Even world-renowned astrologer Robert Hand admits he doesn’t “know how she did it. Things looked chaotic, but I could not have foreseen September 11. I looked and looked, and I don’t know how anyone could have predicted it to the day.”
If every astrologer in the world had predicted it to the day, would anyone have paid attention?
No! This answer seems only too obvious when you consider that then US President George W. Bush and his advisers were warned but chose not to heed the warnings of their own intelligence reports and take precautions that could have prevented what was to occur on that fated day.
An Interesting Thing About Prediction
Fated events are fated to happen, but because of free will, any prediction can never be absolute. In observing the possible future, we become aware of what we’re moving toward, and with conscious awareness comes the ability to take evasive and positive actions that can change what once was predictable into only a possibility. This puts astrologers in a seemingly precarious position… if their predictions are heeded, and evasive actions are taken… more often than not, their prediction will prove to be wrong.
