It’s Aries Season. So, embrace your bold, brave, independent, and pioneering spirit. It’s time to do what you want to do when you want to do it and go where you want to go when you want to go. This is exemplified in these indomitable Aries women known for being strong, fearless, driven, ambitious, confident, and assertive. They each brought their own brand of Aries entrepreneurial energy into the spotlight when they tackled challenges head-on and created their own paths to success.
Ashley Judd
“Tough girls come from New York. Sweet girls, they’re from Georgia. But us Kentucky girls, we have fire and ice in our blood. We can ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hooks, and drink with the boys, all the while making sweet tea, darlin. And if we have an opinion, you know you’re gonna hear it.” ~ Ashly Judd
It’s not likely that many will forget Ashley’s Aries fire when she recited a poem called “Nasty Woman” at the 2017 Women’s March in Washington, D.C.
Ashley Judd was born on April 19, 1968, at 1:12 PM PST in Los Angeles, Calif., but raised in Kentucky. She has a stellium of planets in Aries: the Sun, Mercury, North Node, Saturn, Venus, and Chiron. The ruler of this Aries stellium is Mars in Taurus. Her Aries Venus and Taurus Mars are in mutual reception.
Ashley detailed her traumatic upbringing in her memoir, “All That Is Bitter and Sweet.” She writes that while her mother and sister embarked on their country music careers together, she was left home alone and forced to fend for herself.
In true Aries style, Ashley was determined to make her own way in the world. But she’s more than an actor. She graduated from Harvard with an MBA. She’s also a political activist who has never hesitated to speak up or share her thoughts on important issues.
After the #MeToo movement exploded in 2017, Ashley courageously became the first celebrity accuser to go on the record about Harvey Weinstein’s sexual abuse in the original New York Times exposé. She also played herself in the movie She Said, the story of the New York Times investigation.

“In fact, my courage and my bravery at a young age was the thing I was bullied for, a kind of ‘Who do you think you are?'” – Lady Gaga
Dr. Maya Angelou
“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because, without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.” ~ Maya Angelou

“The caged bird sings with a fearful trill,
of things unknown, but longed for still,
and his tune is heard on the distant hill,
for the caged bird sings of freedom.”
― Maya Angelou, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
