For All you “Cat Ladies” (and Guys)~ What’s You Kitty’s Sun Sign?

Bastet, the Goddess of Love, Cats and War

“John Bradshaw, in his book Cat Sense, explains that Bastet was “originally a simple goddess who protected humankind against misfortune, [but] she later became associated with playfulness, fertility, motherhood, and female sexuality – all characteristics of domestic cats” No negative connotations were attributed to this association, and both men and women left offerings to her at the cat temple of Bubastis. Excerpt from Debunking the Crazy Cat Lady Sterotype

In a 2021 Fox interview JD Vance said that the U.S. was being run by Democrats, corporate oligarchs and “a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”

If you’re a “Cat Lady,” you’ve gotten a lot of press lately—thanks to JD Vance. This sparked me to write an article about cat personalities. So, what’s your cat’s Sun sign?

You rarely get complete birth data (date, time, location) on your cat. Even finding the birth month could be difficult if you’ve adopted your cat from the local shelter. Still, there’s astrological significance to the date you got your new kitty, so you could go with that. You can also observe your cat’s personality and decide which Sun sign matches its personality traits. The point is to have fun getting to know your furry feline friend better!!!

The Aries Warrior Cat

Aries cats have unforgettable personalities. They’re lively, friendly, playful, adventurous, and oh-so courageous.

They love to get out and about, and you’ll often catch them running, jumping, climbing, hunting, and even fighting with other pets. Don’t be surprised if they leave home on a hunting expedition, return roughed up, and drop a “souvenir” at your feet.

They’re typically not the most talkative cats, but they enjoy being in the middle of all the action and don’t back down when threatened. But take care because they can also be impulsive and scratch and bite when least expected.

The Lazy and Spoiled Taurus Cat

Taurus is the fixed earth sign of the zodiac ruled by Venus, the planet of love and pleasure. When you hear someone talking about their lazy, spoiled cat – it’s probably a Taurus.

A pleasure-loving Taurus cat is gentle, docile, quiet, and laid-back. The only thing that’s likely to get them up and running is a good meal. They only want attention when they ask for it, and they’re typically content just observing what’s going on from their comfy perch on the arm of your soft and cushy couch or easy chair.

Taurus cats are stubborn! Try to make them do something they don’t want to do (such as get into a cat carrier), and they’ll get angry, scratch, bite, and show you their hot temper.

The Double the Fun and Trouble Gemini Cat

Gemini is the mutable air sign ruled by Mercury and symbolized by the twins. Yes, having a Gemini cat can mean double the fun and double the trouble. These cats are active, talkative, intelligent, and inquisitive. They enjoy socializing and are always ready to have fun.

They’re Chatty Cathys, who won’t shut up when they want you to know something. You could even get to the point where you’re conversing with them. And boy, do they have a penchant for getting into mischief. You know that catnip you thought you hid so well? You can bet they’ll find it.

The Sweet, Empathetic Cancer Cat

Cancer is the cardinal water sign of the zodiac, ruled by the Moon. Cancer cats are homebodies and caregivers that are empathetic to human emotions. Still, they can be overly sensitive, easily upset, moody, and crabby.

Cancer cats love their humans and need to feel part of the family. They’re faithful and loving cats that will scamper around being protective. All they need to feel safe and secure is a clean litter box, regular meals, a comfy bed, peace and quiet, and constant love and affection.

The Charismatic and Majestic Leo Cat

Leo cats are charismatic and look majestic, when wearing a sparkling gold collar while sitting on a red velvet cushion. They’re playful and expect as much pampering as they can get.

Ignore a Leo cat, and they can even be destructive. Meet their demands, and they will defend you at all costs. A Leo cat naturally knows how to use its cuteness, agility, and exuberant energy to get everyone to look at them.

Some might call a Leo cat “pesky.” Others might see them as “extroverts.” Still, a Leo cat often demonstrates that its intelligence is used for more than keeping everyone’s eyes on it.

The Persnickety Virgo Cat

Virgo cats are quiet, aloof, fastidious, watchful, clever, and observant. But they’re not inclined to typical cat antics. They are gentle, happy to be indoors, and love self-grooming.

Although they do enjoy attention, they don’t demand it. Virgo cats are usually shy and reserved around strangers but affectionate with people they know. However, they can be persnickety.

The Friendly and Charming Libra Cat

Libra cats are lovers, not fighters. They have big hearts and are super friendly, charming, affectionate, and very social.

They get lonely without a companion, whether it’s their human or another cat. Although their main job is to be pretty and sweet, they’re happy to follow you around the house or curl up on your lap and chat with you.

Of course, they might disagree with you every now and then.

Libra cats hate being alone and love getting out and about with their human.

The Independent and Fearless Scorpio Cat

Scorpio is the fixed water sign of the zodiac ruled by Pluto. Scorpio cats are focused, intense, incredibly faithful, and loyal. They have an inquisitive nature and top-notch detective skills.

They’re also stubborn with jealous natures and are highly independent, fearless, and confrontational. It’s not unlike a Scorpio cat to get into fights, even with dogs. And just when you need a Scorpio cat to do something (perhaps a trip to the vet), they’re nowhere to be found.

The Adventurous Sagittarius Cat

Sagittarius cats are great to have around. They’re fun, active, friendly, and independent. They don’t like being held, but they do enjoy the company of others.

Sagittarian cats are explorers and adventurers. They can be companions you can take wherever you go, even on a motorcycle ride. They are also talkative, mischievous, clumsy, and messy—often knocking things all over the place just to see what happens.

The Self-Reliant Capricorn Cat

Capricorn cats have easygoing temperaments and are wise beyond their years. They’re not the type of cats to follow you from room to room or to demand cuddle time.

Capricorn cats are self-reliant and content to amuse themselves. Even if work keeps you out of the house all day, they’ll be faithful and loyal as long as you don’t forget to feed them and occasionally reward them with a cuddle or two.

The Attention Seeking Aquarius Cat

Aquarius cats are independent and outgoing but they aren’t cuddlers and are sometimes aloof. They are eccentric, inventive, and unpredictable, so it’s hard to predict or understand what they might do. Still, they enjoy some interaction with their humans.

Aquarius cats are intelligent, think outside the box, and can turn almost anything into a cat toy. They are attention seekers and have no qualms about making their needs known.

The Intuitive and Sensitive Pisces Cat

Pisces cats are sweet, cuddly, intuitive, and sensitive. They have the magical ability to feel what their humans are feeling. This sweetie will be by your side when you’re feeling down and standing by the door every time you come home.

They’re also likely to be needier than the average cat, so pick them up, give them lots of snuggles and hugs when you come through the door, and treat them to some cat nip.

Pisces cats are smart but often play deaf and dumb and retreat to their hidey-hole if there’s something they don’t like or want to do.

The Enlightened Cat Woman

Cat Woman pursues her own noble causes without claiming the title of either hero or villain.

One more thing: It’s time to say goodbye to the crazy cat lady—her time has passed! It’s now time to say hello to the enlightened cat woman, a level-headed and influential female figure who enjoys the company of cats and is willing to do everything possible to ensure others live their best nine lives.
