Mid Life Crisis and Adam Kinzinger
One of my astrological passions is assisting in understanding Mid Life transition. Today’s study is Adam Kinzinger and the transformation he has been through. His birthdate is February 27th, 1978. Looking at the mid life factors, he has Saturn @ 26* Leo, Uranus at 16* Scorpio retrograde, and Neptune @ 18* Sagittarius. So he has 3 of the four mid life transits happening, Saturn and Uranus oppositions, and the Neptune square. For those who may not follow politics, Mr. Kinzinger voted to impeach Donald Trump, then decided not to run in Illinois.
He is an Iraq 2 deployment veteran, and a conservative Republican, and Christian, who voted his values on impeachment, and then served on the House January 6th inquiry. And lost his job as a result. And just got hired by CNN!
This is a classic mid life story, with all the bells and whistles of the transition. A crisis in conscience, an irrevocable decision to be made. Saturn in Leo can force one to follow the heart. What is interesting is that he has Venus @ 16* Pisces, so during the first impeachment of Trump, December 2019, Neptune is exactly conjunct his Venus, and Saturn transiting opposite his Mars in Cancer. How tempting it must have been to go with the flow, ignore reality, and keep his financial security. He chose instead to vote his values.
The Uranus opposition often brings an external situation demanding change, that is not necessarily about ones internal need to change. Faced with events, Mr. Kinzinger had to respond to essentially a no- win situation, which he did. It probably helps that the N Node is in Taurus, at the time conjunct Uranus. So, by being true to his values, he probably stands to make a lot more money than he would have as congressman.
