DESCRIPTION:Topic\nThe 90° dial is uniquely suited to finding midpoints and 8th harmonic aspects that are useful for chart delineation. The Solar Arcs move natal points at the rate of the natal Sun\, which means the patterns in the radix remain the same as they advance through time. For each natal midpoint\, there are four solar arcs that repeat over a lifetime. We’ll see how to find the recurring themes and how to time them using the dial.\n\nAbout Presenter\nKathy Allan is a professional astrologer certified by the AFA in 2010. She has taught astrology classes at all levels\, has lectured nationally\, and has written for The Mountain Astrologer. She is the author of When Worlds Collide: Another Look at the Lunar Nodes and Working With Midpoints.  She has a PhD in Molecular Toxicology and did postdoctoral research in Infectious Immunology. Originally from Toronto\, this long-time resident of Kenya and South Florida\, now lives in New Mexico.

DESCRIPTION:Astrology Math Class \nThis class covers all the steps a student will need to learn how to cast an astrological chart and  progress it. The student will learn how to calculate planetary positions and house cusps to the minute\, how to find the adjusted calculation date (ACD)\, and the requirements for passing the professional exam offered by the American Federation of Astrologers. Two different methods of calculating planetary positions will be taught\, giving the student a means of cross-checking their results. \nThis is an eight-week\, 2-hour hybrid class\, meeting weekly starting April 27 at 2:00 pm. The fee is $425. \nIn-person attendees will meet at the Rene Goodale Learning Center at 2054 Harobi Drive\, Atlanta GA 30084-5103. Remote attendees will be provided a Zoom link upon registration payment. \nAbout the teacher: \nKathryn Silverton holds a master’s degree in psychology and was certified as a professional astrologer through the American Federation of Astrologers in 1983. In addition to her consulting practice\, she teaches beginning to advanced levels of astrology. She serves on the board of the AFA and as President of the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society.
