DESCRIPTION:The Astrological Chart of St. Gemma Galgani \nAn examination of one of the most paranormal and mystical lives in history\, St. Gemma Galgani. We will investigate through her natal chart transits and the medical astrology implications of her life. We will see what paranormal experiences can be confirmed through astrology\, and how her temperament aligns with what her priest and biographer\, Ven. Germanus\, tells us about her. \nSt. Gemma Galgani is an Italian girl who lived at the turn of the 20th Century and became what many call a “Victim Soul.” This is a person who takes on abnormal\, supernatural suffering to atone for the sins of the world and thereby secure salvation for souls. For Gemma Galgani this manifested as weekly suffering the wounds of Jesus\, mysterious illnesses\, and physical attacks and manifestations of demonic creatures. She was said to have manifested every mystical ability: Prophecy\, levitation\, bi-location\, ecstatic communications with Jesus\, and Eucharistic fasting\, as well as visibly seeing and communicating with her guardian angel at all times. Her life ended at 23\, after months of suffering under a mysterious illness and increased demonic attack\, and finally possession. \nShe was considered a living saint in her own lifetime. Many who knew her considered her sinless\, including her priests. To be in her presence\, to look her in the eyes was as if being in the presence of a seraph\, it was said. In fact\, she was known as the Seraph of Lucca. \nShe was beatified in 1933 and canonized in 1940. She is the patron saint of students\, back pain\, and purity. She is also invoked in exorcisms as the “scourge of demons.” \nPresenter: Justin Showalter is an astrologer who writes on astrology and the saints and miracles of the Catholic Church on Substack at Astrology Of The Saints.
