Cancer Season sparks thoughts of home, family, tribe, and country, reminding the world that “home is where the heart is.” It’s time to balance the need for stability with change, de-escalate tensions and find solutions that nurture and heal. Cancer season calls you to seek emotional security in a deep, practical, and joyful way by cultivating connections with family, loved ones, old friends and community. Keep in mind that individuals have the freedom to create their own chosen families based on love, support, and shared values.
BUT… and perhaps just as important… Cancer Season is also about finding a “home within” and developing a sense of belonging, comfort, peace and security within yourself, rather than being dependent on outside factors such as relationships, places, or possessions. Any decision is a turning point that enacts a commitment to give up certain possibilities and dedicate ourselves to a given line of direction. At the cardinal point Cancer 1 we are reminded that the basic unit of human involvement is the family, and by extension the tribe, congregating in its place of habitation.
We can think of ancient days when ceremonies to celebrate the sun’s fullest power would draw together those who formed a tribal connection. Until we give up our freedom to vacillate, and make a choice about our allegiances, we cannot know the feeling of belonging that is celebrated.
Cancer Season 2025 begins with the Moon, ruler of Cancer, at 0° Taurus, exactly sextile the Sun which is also conjunct Jupiter in Cancer (exact on June 24th). Sun/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer are also sextile Mars in Virgo. Mercury is also in Cancer. This means the season begins with an expansive, gentle, comforting, and harmonious energy that encourages security, stability, understanding, and an opportunity to solve conflicts strategically and efficiently with emotional intelligence.

However much we honour the right of the individual to be fully self-expressive, it is always good to remember that that must be within the context of the community. Any attempt to repudiate our role as part of something bigger will put us up against our own shortcomings, and we will find we cannot escape the negative side of who we are.
Mercury Enters Leo
On June 26, 2025 Mercury enters Leo, this is likely to amplify confidence and encourage people to stand up and be heard. Still, it’s best not to let the need to be heard overshadow collaboration.
On June 29 Mercury in Leo begins its pre-shadow period. Time to look for tell-tale signs of the upcoming retrograde. Mercury will retrograde in Leo from July 18th until August 11th. Its post-shadow period ends on August 29th.
On July 4th Venus conjuncts Uranus in Taurus sparking a need for freedom just before she escapes into Gemini. And Neptune in Aries turns retrograde prompting us to reflect on our desires and determine how we can create the world we truly want.

July 7, 2025 – Uranus Enters Gemini
Uranus, the planet that shocks and shakes things up, moves into Gemini, the sign of the trickster, on July 7, 2025.
A Peek Into the Sort of Trickery Uranus in Gemini Can Bring
Even as the Uranus moved closer to Gemini , new research has “uncovered a so-called universal jailbreak for AI chatbots that obliterates the ethical (not to mention legal) guardrails shaping if and how an AI chatbot responds to queries. The report from Ben Gurion University describes a way of tricking major AI chatbots like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into ignoring their own rules.”
Uranus is called the Awakener because it opens your eyes to things you’ve missed or taken for granted. So with Uranus in Gemini expect some kind of “waking up call” related to how we gather information, communicate, use our minds and engage with the environment. BUT beware Uranus’ movement through Gemini could bring trickery and some wildly out-of-the-box ideas and happenings.
On November 8, 2025 Uranus will retrograde back into Taurus. On April 26, 2026, Uranus will settle into Gemini until August 2032.
Uranus in Gemini History
Alan Turing, widely known as the father of computer science and artificial intelligance, and his team cracked the German Enigma code in 1941 (Uranus was in Gemini from August through October 1941, before dipping back into Taurus) and by 1943 (with Uranus fully established in Gemini) these machines were decrypting a staggering 84,000 Enigma messages per month, contributing significantly to the end of WWII.

Magic Triangle
As Uranus moves into Gemini it will form a configuration called a Minor Grand Trine, that’s sometimes called a “Magic Triangle.” Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius will be in a trine (120 ° – ease/speed, i.e., rapid achievement or rapid failure) aspect to each other while simultaneously sextile (60° – opportunity) away from Neptune in Aries. Saturn will also be conjunct Neptune and involved in the triangle for a significant period of time.
Magic Triangle perfect dates:
- First triangle perfects at 1° from August 20th until 14th September 2025
- Second triangle perfects at 4° from July 7th Until July 31st July 2026
- Third triangle perfects at 6° from June 5th until June 17th 2027
What will humanity’s destiny be during this magical time? I suppose that depends on how brave, innovative and empathic each person can be when faced with astounding adversity.

The rush of life is a relatively recent development, underwritten by the electronic age and the information blast of recent times; it is because humanity is accelerating helter-skelter towards a major shift point in our race’s evolution. We are all getting caught up in the spin and often asked, or forced, to take on tasks that seem a little too demanding and for which we feel unready. Yet we must have faith that we are up to the challenge. Nothing can come to us that we have not attracted and for which we have the potential qualities and abilities.
Pluto in Aquarius turned retrograde on May 4th. On July 4th Neptune in Aries turned retrograde. On July 13 Saturn in Aries turns retrograde, and on July 18 Mercury in Leo turns retrograde.
I’m reminded of the cliché “two steps forward and one step back.” But keep in mind that taking two steps forward and one step back means that even through doubt, struggle, and failure, progress is being made.
