with Dr. Katherine O’Connell

7:30 PM Eastern • ZOOM — Free for Members

🌌 WHERE DREAMS MEET THE STARS

What if our dreams could become another way of listening to the cycles of the cosmos?

Join the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrology Society for an intriguing evening with Dr. Katherine O’Connell, exploring the Astro Dream Journal—a tool for connecting our inner cycles and experiences with the cycles of the stars.

By recording when a dream occurs alongside the dream itself, we can begin to discover meaningful connections between dream imagery, planetary cycles, and periods of change in our lives. Katherine will introduce ancient timing techniques, including planetary days and hours, and show how they can enrich our understanding of dreams.

🔮 THE THREE SISTERS OF THE CRAFT

Astrology • Alchemy • Magic

Drawing on both ancient and modern astrological techniques, Katherine will share chart examples pairing dreams with significant life events, incorporating Saturn cycles, asteroids, Arabic Lots, lunar nodes, and fixed stars.

✨ ABOUT DR. KATHERINE O’CONNELL

Dr. Katherine O’Connell has been an astrologer for more than six decades, as well as a clinical psychologist, Interfaith Minister, coach, educator, and author. Her lifelong fascination with synchronicity began in childhood, when she noticed that dreams sometimes seemed to anticipate events that later unfolded.

Her journey into astrology began as a teenager after discovering Carl Jung, metaphysics, and astrology. She began practicing astrology professionally in 1969 while living in Berkeley, California, eventually earning a Ph.D. in psychology, along with an R.N. and Master’s in Public Health.

Her career has woven together psychology, astrology, health, spirituality, ministry, and coaching. Before the age of 30, she was consulting on healthcare policy to the administration of President Jimmy Carter. She later developed an international coaching and mentoring practice and has taught psychology at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.

Katherine has studied with and known influential figures in psychology and astrology, including Dane Rudhyar, Fritz Perls, and Joseph Henderson, a protégé of Carl Jung, as well as spiritual teachers including His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

🌙 DREAMS & ASTROLOGY

Dreams have been a major focus of Katherine’s research for decades. She has presented papers to the International Association for the Study of Dreams and has explored the relationship between dreams, astrology, and physical health. In the 1980s, she coined the term “Medical Dreamwork” and has continued presenting and teaching on the subject.

Her astrological practice draws from both ancient and modern techniques, including natal charts, progressions, solar returns, profections, horary, and timing techniques. She is particularly interested in the connections between dreams, lunar nodes, soul purpose, Arabic Lots, asteroids, and fixed stars.

As a teacher and storyteller, Katherine describes astrology as an alchemical blend of skill, intuition, and oracular consciousness—a tradition she continues to explore and bring into contemporary practice.
