The organizers of the “No Kings” protests say that at least 5 million people turned out on June 14th and 15th for more than 2,100 “No Kings” protests in all 50 states. They came together in cities, towns and rural communities.
The chart below is for June 14, 2025, when the protests began. As you can see the Moon was in Aquarius, conjunct Pluto (power to the people), Uranus was on the final degree of Taurus (the comfort, security and sense of peace that was once depended on was no longer a given.) Both are sextile Saturn/Neptune in Aries (actions that flow beyond rules and boundaries), while a courageous Mars was in 28° Leo squared rebel-rouser Uranus in 28° Taurus, activating the Magic Triangle. Which will be in effect until 2028.
The peaceful “No Kings” protests were a threshold moment. And so it begins!
The Aquarius Full Moon with the High Flying Kite
On August 9, 2025, at the Aquarius Full Moon, transiting Mars in 1°Libra completes a Kite pattern… check out the blue lines in the chart below that form the shape of a “high-flying” Kite. An astrological kite is a somewhat rare and powerful astrological pattern. It contains a Magic Triangle sitting atop a Grand Trine.
Thought: Kites require moving air, or wind, to generate lift and fly high and this is a Grand Air Trine signifying a harmonious and effortless flow of energy related to thought, communication, and social interaction.

The Astrology of the Full Moon Kite
Transiting Mars in 1° Libra trines both Pluto in 2° Aquarius and Uranus in 1° Gemini, forming a Grand Air Trine. Mars in Libra also opposes Saturn/Neptune in 1° Aries forming the backbone that holds the entire Kite configuration together and makes it more stable. With Saturn/Neptune being the focal planets, and Mars being the tail of the kite. The opposition provides a dynamic quality that pushes people to act on the energy suggested by the Grand Air Trine.
Focal Planets
The focal planets, Saturn/Neptune in Aries, sextile both Uranus and Pluto gives people an opportunity (sextile) to flow beyond rigid rules and boundaries, while showing up with courage and conviction and honoring peaceful actions as strength. While Mars, ruler of Aries, is in Libra advocating for fairness, equality, and social justice. And Venus, the ruler of Libra, is in Cancer conjunct Jupiter, adding to the blessings of this “High Flying Kite.”
Whatever it is, I believe something significant is destined to “take flight” at or near the upcoming Aquarius Full Moon.
What’s fascinating about this Kite Pattern is that because the Magic Triangle lasts so long each time a planet opposes Saturn/Neptune a new Kite pattern will be formed. It will be interesting to see what happens after September’s 29° Virgo New Moon, which is a partial Solar Eclipse.
