In the 1970’s, Larry taught himself photography and took publicity photos of entertainers, among them Stevie Wonder, Cheap Trick, and B. B. King. His Kirlian (“Aura”) photography was shown at Rhodes Hall in Atlanta.

In 1981 he landed a job as an advertising photographer for Ted Turner. His photo of Mr. Turner was later a part of CNN’s 2018 biography “Ted Turner: the Maverick Man”. In his spare time he educated himself in computer engineering, and performed solo guitar at local restaurants and bars. He also recorded in a studio several songs that he had written.

In 1988 he left the job with Turner, and one year later opened a computer business. Larry also taught evening adult-education classes in photography and computers at DeKalb College (now part of Georgia State University) until 2005. Over the years he trained 2,000 students. He authored a textbook for computer beginners. He also taught computer technology to corporate employees for AT&T, UPS, Jimmy Carter Library, BellSouth and Hormel.

In the 90’s Larry wrote computer applications for and provided IT services to individuals, local small businesses and national organizations. He was proficient in Assembly Language, Basic, C, C++, Visual Basic for Applications and SQL. He created a database application for the Alzheimer’s Association which managed tens of millions of dollars of grants to scientists searching for treatments and a cure for this disease.

In 2015 he began working full time in real estate.

Larry learned Astrology in 1980 from David Railey and consults the stars almost daily as one source of helpful guidance. He occasionally does free “readings” for friends. His articles about Astrology and the famous seer Nostradamus have been published in 10 issues of the American Federation of Astrologers’ magazine.
