Virtual – Only – Workshop: “Astrology: Science, Art, Religion?”

In this virtual workshop, Becca and Matt will engage the audience in a few deep time and inner space meditations with the aim of integrating the scientific, artistic, and religious dimensions of astrological practice explored in their Thursday evening presentation.  There will also be ample time for continued dialogue on these themes.

Time: 12pm-3pm EST (11am–2pm CST, 10am-1pm MST, 9am-12pm PST)

Please note: This is a virtual workshop that will be held on Go-To-Meeting, rather than at the Rene Goodale Learning Center.

Becca Tarnas and Matthew Segall

Becca S. Tarnas, Ph.D. is an archetypal astrologer and editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology. She received her doctorate in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with her dissertation titled The Back of Beyond: The Red Books of C.G. Jung and J.R.R. Tolkien. Her research interests include depth psychology, literature, philosophy, and the ecological imagination. She is currently teaching in the Jungian Psychology and Archetypal Studies program at Pacifica Graduate Institute.

Matthew T. Segall, Ph.D. is an assistant professor in the Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness program at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. He teaches courses on German Idealism and organic philosophy and has published on a wide range of topics including metaphysics, the philosophy of science, the evolution of religion, and psychedelics.
