Advanced Astrology Class January 2020

They want to know how they can best put their assets to work, based upon the strengths of their chart as well as the pitfalls they may encounter. It is your job to counsel them accordingly, giving them as much insight as possible. Additionally, they want to know what to anticipate in the coming six months, based on the upcoming transits and secondary progressions. Each student will be given the opportunity to participate in a practice run. The goal of this class is for the student to increase their familiarity with the counseling practice of interpretation and projections.

Moon Panel Discussion

Fertility and Gardening with Kathryn Silverton

Kathryn will be providing insight into how the Moon plays a role in fertility, be it in humans or in plants. She will explore how lunar cycles play a role in female fertility, thereby helping women increase their chances of conception. This method can also be used as a natural form of birth control for women who prefer not to use birth control pills. She will also discuss the function of the various signs of the zodiac as they relate to gardening; which signs are fertile for planting and which are best for other gardening routines.

The Moon Through the Signs

Four of MAAS’ up and coming astrologers will be presenting the Moon through the signs.

  • Meghna Bhagat will cover the air signs.
  • Julie Remington will cover earth signs.
  • Tatiana Schmidt will cover fire signs.
  • Michelle Glennon will cover water signs.

Secondary Progressed Solar/Lunar Phases with Pat Lantz

The monthly Solar/Lunar cycle has been observed since the dawn of human existence. Along with the cycles of day and night, and the changing seasons, it provided a repetitive pattern which gave the ancients a sense of predictability in a chaotic world. Pat will provide insight on how with the use of the Secondary Progressed Lunar phase you can define predictable patterns that underlie the changing circumstances of your life. You can calculate your SP Solar/Lunar Phases at Lunarium.

The meeting is free to MAAS members, $15 for non-members. The door opens at 7:00 PM to allow for conversation and browsing the MAAS astrological library. The lecture begins at 7:30 PM.

You may attend remotely via GoToMeeting, this is also free for MAAS members. Simply email info@atlantaastrology.com no later than Tuesday, November 19 to be sent a link.

Intermediate Astrology Class, Series Three

This class will be a combination of chart interpretation and a look at the timing of major events. Students will be asked to provide the birth information for the charts of people they know and would like to see analyzed. They will also be asked to provide the dates of significant events in that person’s life. Then, someone other than the student who has provided that information, will be asked to do an interpretation of that chart, along with the assistance of other class members. After the interpretation has been completed, we will look at the secondary progressions and transits of those significant events that were provided.

The goal is for students to become comfortable with the process of chart interpretation and to become familiar with astrological influences that reflect major life events.

This is an eight-week class, starting Saturday, October 5, 2019. The class will run for 3 hours, from 1:30 -4:30 and will be held at The Renee Goodale Learning Center, home of the Metropolitan Atlanta Astrological Society, 2054 Harobi Drive. Tucker, GA 30084. ABOUT THE PANEL DISCUSSION

Are you ready for Uranus in Taurus? How will the planet of innovation and radical progress impact money and the whole financial environment? What will the impact be on technology? How about weather, earth changes and the environment? As a historical comparison, Uranus was last in Taurus from 1935 to 1942.

For the past 7 years Uranus, the planet of revolutionary change, has been in the fiery, pioneering, forward moving “me-first” sign of Aries. How can we prepare for the shift into solid and traditional Taurus, where Uranus isn’t comfortable? Uranus is the energy of change and revolution, while Taurus holds on to the time-tested and resists change. What will this push-pull energy bring?

Uranus fully enters Taurus on March 7, 2019, and will travel exclusively through the sign of the Bull for the following 7 years, until April 25, 2026. This shift from Aries to Taurus is an enormous change of energy and will impact our finances, our society, our culture, our politics, our environment, and each of us personally in myriad ways.

Come prepared with your questions, comments, and insights. This is an audience participation panel discussion.

To make it entertaining, we will look at the charts of some well-known people without naming them at first.
