Esoteric Astrology – An Introduction with Marie O’Neill

hqdefault-bicubic

Traditional Western Astrology is personality centered. After a person has evolved to a certain point the traditional chart feels more like the person you were. On the other hand, Esoteric Astrology reveals your Soul or Higher Mind’s intention for this lifetime along with your potential for contributing to the evolution of humanity.

This is accomplished through looking at Esoteric Planetary Rulership of the signs and the Seven Rays. The Seven Rays are the 7 energy streams that enter our solar system from cosmic sources, permeating the planets; which in turn transmits this energy to each of us through the zodiac.

Esoteric Astrology is a system which can be used as a stand-alone system in a reading or used in conjunction with other systems as the icing on the cake, so to speak. This system not only gives each of us the highest goal of our lives it provides the road map to reach it.

The purpose of this talk is to introduce you to the science of Esoteric Astrology – focusing on the esoteric meaning of the signs; their esoteric planetary rulers and the Seven Rays.

Astrology: Science, Art, Religion? with Becca Tarnas and Matthew Segall

For some, astrology is a science, no less mathematically rigorous and empirically grounded than astronomy. For others, astrology is more of an art, with subjective interpretation and poetic expression playing essential roles. The beliefs and practices of astrology lead still others to view it as a religion or spiritual discipline.

In this presentation, Becca and Matt will engage in a philosophical and practical dialogue about the nature of the astrological discipline, its controversial status in intellectual and popular cultures, and how the language we use to describe it affects our understanding of what astrology can tell us about our world.

Becca and Matthew will be joining us remotely from their home in California.

The meeting is free to MAAS members, $15 for non-members. The door opens at 7:00 PM to allow for conversation and browsing the MAAS astrological library. The lecture begins at 7:30 PM.

  • You may attend remotely via GoToMeeting, this is also free for MAAS members. Simply email info@atlantaastrology.com no later than June 17 to be sent a link.

A Moment of Great Change with Marilyn DuMont

Saturn-Jupiter-Pluto

When Pluto, Saturn, and Jupiter encounter each other in 2020 AD, it will be a moment of Great Change, when transformation meets and changes the time and timing of the planet.  In the mid-1200’s the world was waking to Kings, and Popes, Crusades, and marauding groups who were traveling the Silk Road and claiming power to lands and ideas that were to change the sleeping world. It was an awakening of the New World coming alive.  As well, it was the beginning of the time of the Black Plague, climate (mini-Ice Age) change and exploration to new lands. This was the early dawning of the Age of Enlightenment (1690’s through the early 1800’s).  These planets were transiting in Scorpio in the middle of the 13th century.  800 years ago the push to open the world to unique and sleeping unconscious ideas and powers set the stage of the 2020 return of these three Planets.  Now, these planets are finding each other in Capricorn, representing a time of change of structures that sets motion equivalent to the time of Babylon, 1894 BCE, when almost 4,000 years ago Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter met in Capricorn.  Babylon, the seat of Civilization, was a time when Codes and Law were written that are still stand today.  Babylon’s 15 minutes (100 years) of fame have had a lasting effect on the planet to today.  This is the time that is setting the structures that will affect the next 4,000 years.  The unique aspect of this coming conjunction is that, because of retrogrades; it has an influence in current time that lasts for about 18 months.  The other times mentioned above were fleeting moments where the planets passed each other in time with no retrograde to bring them back for review.  We can bet that this 18-month journey will be changed like no other time.  Hold on to your hats!

The meeting is free to MAAS members, $15 for non-members. The door opens at 7:00 PM to allow for conversation and browsing the MAAS astrological library. The lecture begins at 7:30 PM.

You may attend remotely via GoToMeeting, this is also free for MAAS members. Simply email info@atlantaastrology.com no later than July 16 to be sent a link.

Non-members may also attend remotely via GoToMeeting for $18. Please pay through PayPal no later than July 16 to be sent a link.
